Jakarta, August 10, 2024 – A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum and International Standards was successfully held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at UHAMKA (Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka). The session featured a prominent discussion with Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Ismail, President of the International Association of Economic and Business (IAEB), who shared valuable insights on integrating international standards into the curriculum to enhance educational quality and relevance.

The FGD gathered faculty members, curriculum developers, and educational leaders to explore strategies for aligning academic programs with OBE principles, ensuring that graduates meet both local and global industry needs. The discussion focused on the application of international best practices in curriculum design, the importance of competency-based learning, and how institutions can adapt to the evolving demands of the global economy.

Prof. Shafinar Ismail emphasized the importance of incorporating international standards in the curriculum to improve educational outcomes and better prepare students for global challenges. "Adopting OBE and international standards not only enhances the quality of education but also ensures that our graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a competitive world," she stated.

The event also provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas, share experiences, and discuss practical approaches to curriculum development.
