Melaka, 2024 – The participants of the Melaka
International Collaboration, Visiting Lecturer, and Community Service (MICVECS)
2024 took part in the closing ceremony of Melaka International
Innovation Exhibition (MIIX) 2024, held in the Sri Mersing
Hall at UITM Melaka. The event brought together students from
Indonesia and Malaysia, fostering cross-cultural interaction and collaboration.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished
guests, including Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Ismail, President of
the International Association of Economic and Business (IAEB),
and UITM Melaka Deputy Vice-Chancellor III, who jointly
highlighted the significance of academic and cultural exchange in enriching the
global education landscape.
In her remarks, Prof. Shafinar Ismail praised the
synergy between MICVECS and MIIX, emphasizing how such events strengthen ties
between academic communities across nations. “This is not just a closing
ceremony but a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and shared
aspirations,” she said.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UITM Melaka
acknowledged the contributions of Indonesian and Malaysian students in
showcasing their innovative ideas during MIIX 2024, reinforcing the commitment
to future collaborations under programs like MICVECS.
The event concluded with a cultural performance
representing the diversity of both countries, symbolizing unity and mutual
respect. The combined efforts of MICVECS and MIIX 2024 have set a strong
foundation for ongoing partnerships, inspiring students and faculty to continue
working together on impactful projects.
