Melaka, 2024 – As part of the Melaka International
Collaboration, Visiting Lecturer, and Community Service (MICVECS) 2024, 25
universities from Indonesia officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) with the International Association of Economic and Business (IAEB).
The signing ceremony was held at UITM Cawangan Melaka and Universitas
Islam Melaka (UIM), marking a significant step in fostering international
academic collaboration.
The MoU reflects a shared commitment to advancing
education, research, and community service through various joint programs
facilitated by IAEB. These include visiting lecturer exchanges, collaborative
research projects, academic workshops, and initiatives to support sustainable
development goals.
Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Ismail, President of IAEB, emphasized
the importance of the partnership. “This MoU represents a unified effort to
enhance global academic collaboration, empowering institutions to address
challenges and opportunities in the economic and business sectors,” she stated.
Representatives from the participating universities
expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the benefits of
being part of IAEB’s extensive academic network. The partnership is expected to
open doors for more comprehensive and impactful programs, benefiting students,
faculty, and the broader academic community.
The MoU signing during MICVECS 2024 underscores
IAEB’s role as a bridge for international academic cooperation, setting the
stage for further initiatives that will strengthen ties between Indonesian and
Malaysian universities and beyond.
