Tenank, in collaboration with several universities from Indonesia and Malaysia.
Participating institutions included University Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Melaka,
Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UINSU), Universitas Muslim Nusantara
(UMN), Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi (UNPAB), UIN Syahada, Politeknik
Negeri Medan, and Unismuh Makassar. The event, themed "Digital
Marketing Implementation for Improving SME Performance," aimed to
help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) enhance their competitiveness in the digital
era.
This full-day event attracted SME owners eager to harness digital technology
to grow their businesses. Participants received training on how to use social
media as a marketing platform, create engaging content, and implement digital
marketing strategies tailored to the needs of SMEs. By adopting digital
marketing practices, SMEs are expected to reach a wider audience more
effectively and improve business performance.
The IAEB Chairperson expressed that this initiative reflects IAEB’s
commitment, together with higher education institutions, to support SME
development amid the challenges of digitalization. "We believe that with
proper guidance, SMEs can leverage digital technology to expand their market
reach and boost productivity," he said.
Participants were also invited to discuss and share their experiences
regarding the challenges of operating a business in the digital age. This
collaboration between academia and business owners is expected to create a
synergy that will enhance the quality and competitiveness of SMEs in Indonesia.
