Makassar, September 13, 2024 – The International
Association of Economic and Business (IAEB) officially inaugurated its
South Sulawesi Regional Board in a ceremony led by IAEB President, Prof. Ts.
Dr. Shafinar Ismail. The event marked a significant milestone in expanding
IAEB's presence and fostering academic collaboration in the region.
During the ceremony, Agusdiwana Suarni, S.E.,
M.Acc was appointed as Chair of the IAEB South Sulawesi Regional Board,
while Sirajuddin, M.E. assumed the role of Secretary. Both leaders
expressed their commitment to advancing the organization’s mission in the
region.
In her speech, Prof. Shafinar emphasized the importance
of regional leadership in driving IAEB's initiatives. “The South Sulawesi
Regional Board plays a crucial role in promoting economic and business
development through research, education, and collaboration. I am confident that
the new leadership will bring impactful contributions to the region and
beyond,” she said.
The newly elected Chair, Agusdiwana Suarni,
expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her and pledged to prioritize
programs that align with IAEB’s vision. “Together with the team, we aim to
enhance academic cooperation, empower local scholars, and support sustainable
economic growth in South Sulawesi,” she stated.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent
academics, government officials, and industry leaders. It concluded with
discussions on future programs and initiatives that will strengthen the
academic and professional network under IAEB's framework in the region.
