The International Association of Economics and Business Organization (IAEB) at the UNIMEL on 07 December 2023.
Melaka, December 7 2023 – The International Association of
Economic and Business Organizations (IAEB) held a historic meeting at
Universiti Melaka (UNIMEL) on December 7 2023. This meeting aims to strengthen
international collaboration in economic and business education and research.
In his speech, UNIMEL expressed his joy at this opportunity
to establish closer collaboration with UNIMEL. He emphasized the importance of
synergy between educational institutions from various countries to face global
challenges in the economic and business fields. "This collaboration will
not only strengthen the relationship between IAEB and UNIMEL, but will also
provide great benefits to the academic and professional communities in both
countries," he said.
Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar also welcomed this initiative and
highlighted the great potential that can be achieved through international
cooperation. He underlined that UNIMEL is ready to commit to collaborating with
IAEB in various programs, including joint research, student and lecturer
exchanges, as well as holding international seminars and conferences. "We
are very enthusiastic about working with the IAEB and believe that this collaboration
will have a positive impact on the development of economics and business,"
said Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar.
This meeting discussed various important topics, including
developing dual degree programs, preparing joint research proposals, and
establishing a research center that focuses on current economic and business
issues. Both parties agreed to form a special working team to formulate and
implement various cooperation programs that have been discussed.
In addition, IAEB and UNIMEL highlight the importance of
industry involvement in their academic programs to ensure that the education
provided is always relevant to the job market's needs. Both institutions are
committed to strengthening the alum network and increasing industry involvement
in curriculum and training development.
The success of this meeting made IAEB and UNIMEL a positive
first step in strengthening their relationship and realizing their shared
vision to advance economic and business education and research at the
international level. Both are committed to continuing to collaborate to create
