Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Melaka Malaysia, Universitas Islam Negeri
Sumatera Utara (UINSU), UIN Syahada, Universitas Muslim Nusantara (UMN), and
JNE, held a Community Service event at the JNE Gallery. Under the theme
*"The Role of Sharia Business for SMEs,"* the event aimed to educate
and empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the importance of
adopting sharia business principles in managing their businesses.
The event featured presentations and interactive sessions
highlighting how sharia business principles can support sustainable growth for
SMEs. Participants gained insights into the fundamentals of sharia business,
its ethical framework, and how these principles can help SMEs build consumer
trust through transparent and fair business practices.
Experts from IAEB and representatives from partner
universities emphasized that sharia business is not only focused on profit but
also fosters greater economic stability and strengthens ethical values in
entrepreneurship. They encouraged SMEs to view the adoption of sharia business
as an opportunity to enhance their business reputation and reach a broader
customer base.
The event received positive feedback from participants
interested in implementing sharia principles in their businesses. This
collaborative initiative demonstrates IAEB’s commitment to supporting SME
development, creating a healthy business environment, and promoting ethical business
practices in Indonesia.
