IAEB, UINSU, Universitas Muslim Nusantara (UMN), Universiti Teknologi Mara
(UiTM) Melaka, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, ITB, and Universiti Islam Sultan
Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Brunei, hosted a Community Service program in Padang
Sidempuan. The event, themed "Promoting Islamic Green
Entrepreneurship: Developing the Muslim Community," was designed to
encourage sustainable business practices rooted in Islamic values, particularly
focusing on environmental stewardship and social responsibility within the
Muslim community.
The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Ismail,
President of IAEB, who shared insights on the importance of green
entrepreneurship in Islamic business practices. Throughout the program,
participants attended workshops and discussions centered on sustainable
business strategies, eco-friendly product development, and responsible resource
management, all guided by Islamic principles.
The collaboration brought together experts from multiple institutions who
provided valuable knowledge and practical training on how Islamic green
entrepreneurship can empower local businesses and foster a positive impact on
the environment and society. This initiative reflects the collective commitment
of UIN Syahada, IAEB, and its partners to support the growth of environmentally
responsible businesses that align with Islamic values and contribute to the
broader Muslim community's well-being.
Local entrepreneurs and MSMEs expressed enthusiasm for adopting green
practices in their businesses, viewing this initiative as a meaningful step
towards sustainability and ethical entrepreneurship.
