Boosting MSME Competitiveness in the Blacksmith Industry: UIN Syahada, IAEB & UiTM Melaka Collaboration

On November 7, 2024, UIN Syahada, in collaboration with the Indonesian IAEB and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Melaka, organized a Community Service event in Padang Sidempuan. Themed "Increasing the Competitiveness of MSMEs in the Blacksmith Industry," the event aimed to enhance the skills and marketability of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the local blacksmithing sector.

The program was attended by Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Ismail, President of IAEB, who shared insights on strategies for improving the productivity and quality of blacksmith products to meet market demands and compete on a larger scale. Various training sessions were conducted, focusing on modern business management techniques, effective marketing strategies, and product quality improvement, all tailored to the unique needs of the blacksmith industry.

The event received positive responses from local MSME participants, who expressed enthusiasm about applying the new strategies and skills to enhance their business performance. This initiative reflects the commitment of UIN Syahada, IAEB, and UiTM Melaka to support the sustainable development of local industries and increase the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s MSMEs.
